We care deeply about the safety and health of our students, families, and staff. We have a Health and Safety Plan available for you to review: Fairwold Phased School Reopening Health and Safety Plan

Town Halls: Fairwold Academy leadership will host bi-weekly virtual townhalls meetings for our parents and caregivers beginning August 26, 2020 to review the plan and answer program questions. Join us via Zoom here at 10:00 a.m.

When will schools reopen?
Schools will take direction from Governor Wolf and health officials pertaining to when schools will reopen. Currently, we are on a mandated shutdown through April 6, 2020.

Will students be required to make up these two weeks? Will the graduation date be moved? Will Spring break from April 6 to April 10 still be held?
We are still seeking guidance from the state on the impact to the calendar. As soon as we have updated information it will be shared with you and the rest of the community.

Will Quarter 3 end on 3/27?
Yes. We will update families on report card distribution.

Additional Suggested Activities for Secondary Students

  • Secondary students are encouraged to continue mastering the content in their courses. Now is a great time to go back and review content that was learned over the course of the year.
  • Students should take time each day to read, whether it is a previously assigned text or a text of interest.
  • None of the recommended work from these two weeks will be graded, but it is important for students to be academically engaged. There are countless online learning opportunities to explore, make use of your time and enhance your understanding and explore interests!

We will continue to update this page as more questions are raised and information becomes available. Thank you for your patience during this time.
