Dear Fairwold Community,

Fairwold Academy continues our dedication to the health, quality care and safety for all students and staff.

After a careful examination of the recent COVID-19 rise of reported cases, Fairwold Academy will remain closed until December 14th and continue with a fully virtual program until that time.

As of November 6th, Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Northampton, and Philadelphia Counties have been identified as substantial transmission of COVID-19.  The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) has guidance for school leaders to determine instructional models during the COVID-19 pandemic.  When community transmission in a county is listed as substantial, the PDE recommendation is full remote learning.

We will continue preventive and precautionary measures based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. We are implementing a thorough cleaning throughout our buildings to prepare for the return to school.

The November Parent Town Hall explains the recent closure. You can view the presentation here.

We will continue to work together to navigate the evolving COVID-19 situation.  Thank you for your continued partnership in your student's education.
